How to measure
- Rectangle or square: length × width.
- Triangle: base × height ÷ 2.
- Circle: radius × radius × 3.142.
- Irregular areas: divide the lawn into smaller shapes, calculate each and add them together.
Ground preparation checklist
- Remove the old lawn, weeds, rocks and building debris.
- Check drainage and correct low areas.
- Prepare a suitable turf underlay and firm it evenly.
- Set the finished soil level below paths and edging to allow for turf thickness.
- Install and test irrigation before delivery.
- Apply any recommended starter fertiliser immediately before laying.
